Campaign Overview

It’s My Vote: I Will Be Heard

Women wield great power in American politics. In the 2012 election, women turned out to vote in droves, making up 53 percent of the electorate nationwide. Voters ages 18 to 29 made up 19 percent of the national turnout. And one report estimated that at least 49 percent of Americans in that age range voted (22–23 million people).

Although the It’s My Vote: I Will Be Heard campaign to mobilize millennial women has ended for the 2012 election, our work is far from done. Because of our members’ work and commitment, millennial women were heard—and we’ll work to make sure they continue to be heard.
